Overview

jobBeat is a job search tracker built by Dowell Innovations, LLC. We designed jobBeat with privacy as a core principle: the applications, contacts, interviews, and career details you enter belong to you, and stay under your control.

Data Collection

jobBeat does not collect personal information, usage data, device identifiers, location data, or analytics from its users. There is no account registration, no advertising, and no third-party tracking within the app.

Data Storage

Everything you enter into jobBeat — companies, applications, interviews, contacts, notes, and career timeline entries — is stored locally on your device by default. Dowell Innovations, LLC does not have access to, and does not store, this information on any server.

If you choose to turn on iCloud sync, your data is synced across your own devices using Apple's iCloud service, under your Apple ID. That sync happens directly between your devices and Apple; Dowell Innovations, LLC never sees or receives this data.

Backups and Export

jobBeat lets you export a complete backup of your data at any time and restore it on a new device. These backup files are created and stored by you, and are not transmitted to Dowell Innovations, LLC.

Third-Party Services

jobBeat does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third party involved in jobBeat's operation is Apple, and only if you choose to enable iCloud sync.

Your Choices

iCloud sync is optional and off by default. You can turn it on or off at any time, and you can delete your data from the app or from iCloud through your device's settings whenever you'd like.

Changes to This Policy

If our data practices ever change, this page will be updated to reflect those changes, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised accordingly.
