CamperCalc stores your data on your device by default. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for tracking, and it only leaves your device if you turn on iCloud sync.
Overview
CamperCalc is a safe-towing weight calculator built by Dowell Innovations, LLC. We designed CamperCalc with privacy as a core principle: the vehicle profiles, trailer profiles, cargo weights, and towing checklist results you enter belong to you, and stay under your control.
Data Collection
CamperCalc does not collect personal information, usage data, device identifiers, location data, or analytics from its users. There is no account registration, no advertising, and no third-party tracking within the app.
Data Storage
Everything you enter into CamperCalc — tow vehicle and trailer specs, hitch and axle ratings, cargo and water tank weights, and checklist results — is stored locally on your device by default. Dowell Innovations, LLC does not have access to, and does not store, this information on any server.
If you choose to turn on iCloud sync, your saved vehicle and trailer profiles are synced across your own devices using Apple's iCloud service, under your Apple ID. That sync happens directly between your devices and Apple; Dowell Innovations, LLC never sees or receives this data.
Backups and Export
CamperCalc lets you export a complete backup of your vehicle and trailer profiles at any time and restore it on a new device. These backup files are created and stored by you, and are not transmitted to Dowell Innovations, LLC.
Third-Party Services
CamperCalc does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third party involved in CamperCalc's operation is Apple, and only if you choose to enable iCloud sync.
Your Choices
iCloud sync is optional and off by default. You can turn it on or off at any time in Settings, and you can permanently erase all saved vehicle and trailer data from the app at any time using Settings → Danger Zone → Erase All Data.
Changes to This Policy
If our data practices ever change, this page will be updated to reflect those changes, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised accordingly.
